We, the undersigned, ask you, the Nation’s Electors, to vote to uphold the results of the 2016 popular vote.
You hold an important position within our Republic. The Framers meant you to be citizens exercising judgment, not cogs in a political wheel.
There is no good reason for you to exercise that judgment to veto the will of the American people. There is every good reason for you to respect the principle that every voter deserves an equal vote. Those votes, when counted equally, overwhelmingly favor Hillary Clinton.
We understand that as citizens, we disagree about many things. But we should agree at least on the principle that determines who is President: the People. That was Hamilton's promise: that "the sense of the people should operate in the choice of the [President]." You are free to vote to respect that good sense. We ask you to exercise your freedom to support our representative democracy.
